A disciple is a follower who is committed to following the teachings and principles that Jesus Christ taught.  A disciple denies their own desires, goals and ambitions to solely focus on what Jesus commanded them to do-share the gospel and make disciples. A disciple is an extension of Jesus in the earth and it is the ultimate goal of the spiritually mature Christian.

Spiritual growth is what a believer does after salvation. It is simply the process of learning to live like Jesus did. To learn how to renew our minds to the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is next level and it is a process that will turn a Christian into a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Spiritual growth is important because as we live and love like Jesus, we will draw people to us who are interested in how we are responding differently to life's challenges. That open door will be a chance for us to testify of the goodness of God in our lives and plant a seed that will lead them back to Jesus. Spiritual growth causes you to be the light in their darkness-their way to deliverance and healing that can only be found in the presence of Jesus Christ.
